Motivation always acts as driving force to achieve a goal.
Here we will discuss its next category that is extrinsic motivation.As the name it self clears that extrinsic motivation is always driven by external force.


1. In extrinsic motivation there is no initial ignition from our innermost soul.Extrinsic motivation is produced externally for some rewards just to make a pressure on you ,so that you can complete a task properly.

2. What i mean to say suppose if you work for a company then many a times company introduce some attractive gifts for you in exchange of some targeted task.In this way they make you extrinsically motivated so that anyhow you can accomplish that goal.

3. One more thing, you can not exact compare extrinsic motivation to intrinsic motivation because it is not the case that each time everyone can be intrinsically motivated.Yes ,but extrinsic motivation is easy to introduce.

So it is good to work for such type of pleasure pressure caused by extrinsic motivation .

Example of extrinsic motivation is too easy to observe.you can see it all around you.if you are working for Citibank then they give you some monthly target and in exchange you will be rewarded with good incentives.Now what happen generally ,if you do not feel pleasure in completing such type of task still this time you will find some pleasure and a piece of satisfaction while working for that target just because now you have been extrinsically motivated for that particular task.

RESEARCH:
There have been a number of research on extrinsic motivation.Each time one common thing has been noticed that whenever a person works being extrinsically motivated then he performs well for a particular task.But on the other hand if the same person is again given the same task without any extrinsic motivation proposal then there is only 10% success rate for that articular task.
